Welcome back to the journey—Day 172! Today we’re diving into 1 Kings 10–11 and 2 Chronicles 9, and what a powerful stretch of Scripture this is. We’re standing at the height of Israel’s glory under King Solomon—wisdom, wealth, influence, and a kingdom that draws the attention of the world. The Queen of Sheba arrives in awe, and we get a glimpse of what life can look like when God’s blessing is fully on display.
But right alongside that beauty, we also see an important reminder: even the wisest person can drift if their heart turns away. Solomon’s story challenges us to not just start well, but to stay faithful all the way through.
And here’s something exciting—you’re nearly halfway through the Bible. That’s no small thing. Every day you’ve shown up, listened, reflected, and grown. Keep that momentum going.
So today, let’s celebrate the goodness of God, learn from both the victories and the warnings, and keep our hearts aligned with Him as we continue this journey together. Let’s get into.

Welcome to Day 173 of our journey through the Bible! Today we step into the wisdom books once again, exploring Proverbs 30 and 31—two chapters that pack a powerful and practical finish to this collection of insight and truth.
In Proverbs 30, we hear the humble and honest words of Agur, reminding us of the greatness of God and the importance of recognizing our limits while trusting in His wisdom. It’s a beautiful call to live with humility, gratitude, and a heart that seeks truth.
Then we move into Proverbs 31, a passage many know and cherish. From wise counsel about leadership and character to the well-known portrait of a virtuous and capable woman, this chapter challenges and inspires us to live with strength, integrity, and purpose in every area of life.
As you listen today, take a moment to reflect on how wisdom shows up in your daily choices—your words, your work, your relationships. God’s wisdom isn’t just something to admire; it’s something to live.
You’re doing an incredible job staying consistent on this journey. Every day matters, and today is no exception.

Welcome back to Day 174 of our journey through the Bible! Today we’re diving into 1 Kings 12–14, and this is a turning point moment in Israel’s history.
Up until now, we’ve seen a united kingdom under Saul, David, and Solomon—but today, that unity begins to fracture. Rehoboam’s choices lead to division, and the nation splits into two: Israel in the north and Judah in the south. It’s a powerful reminder of how leadership, pride, and listening—or not listening—to wise counsel can shape the course of generations.
As we read, we’ll also see Jeroboam establish a new path for Israel, one that pulls the people away from true worship. In the middle of political change and spiritual drift, God continues to send His word, reminding us that He is always present, always speaking, and always calling His people back to Him.
Today’s chapters may feel ծանր, but they’re deeply important. They show us both the consequences of turning away and the faithfulness of God, even in broken moments.
Stay encouraged—you’re pressing forward, staying consistent, and growing each day.
Let’s jump in.

2 Chronicles 10-12

Hey everyone, welcome back to Day 176 of our Bible reading journey! Today we’re diving into 1 Kings 15 along with 2 Chronicles 13 through 16.
And real quick—thanks for your patience. Sorry for the slight delay; my job-that-pays decided to keep me extra busy… you know how that goes! 😄
But I’m glad you’re here, and I’m excited to jump back in together. Today’s reading continues the story of the kings, showing us both faithfulness and failure—and the consequences that follow.
So grab your Bible, get comfortable, and let’s get into it.

Welcome back to Walk Through History. Today is Day 177, and we continue our journey through the pages of Scripture, uncovering the rise and fall of kings and the faithfulness of God in every generation.
In today’s episode, we step into a time of stark contrast. In 1 Kings 16, we witness a rapid succession of corrupt rulers in Israel, culminating in the infamous reign of King Ahab—a leader whose choices would lead the nation deeper into idolatry and away from the Lord.
But in 2 Chronicles 17, we turn to Judah and see a different story unfold. King Jehoshaphat rises as a leader who seeks God, strengthens his kingdom, and brings spiritual renewal to his people.
Two kingdoms. Two paths. Two very different outcomes.
Let’s walk through history together.
